Did you know that snowshoeing has become one of the fastest-growing winter sports in North America? British Columbia is the perfect place to try it out. The lightweight, flexible shoes make this activity accessible for people of all ages. Whether you’re wanting to get a great cardio workout, explore the backcountry on foot, or simply get some fresh air, snowshoeing is one experience you won’t want to miss.

Ice Climbing

If you’re looking for a frozen thrill, give Ice Climbing a try. Be warned though, this activity is not for the faint at heart. While climbing experience is not required, some level of physical fitness is necessary for such an undertaking. These action-packed guided tours are lead by the Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures out of the Whistler area of BC. If you think you’re up for it, this would be the experience of a lifetime!

Dog Sledding

Looking for a less labor-intensive way to view the Canadian scenery? Cozy up in the sled and let a team of siberian and Alaskan huskies guide you through the fresh fallen snow in backcountry British Columbia. The guides allow you to sit back and enjoy the ride, but if you are a little more hands-on, they're willing to turn over the reigns and teach you the calls to lead the dog team!

Cross Country Skiing
